The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on November 27, 2025, issued a circular regarding the inclusion of EV Charging Stations at Bus Depots under Essential Services as per Regulation 2(35) of Supply Code, 2024.
It is intimated that the Committee of Whole Time Directors (WTDs) in its 317th meeting held on November 14, 2A25 considered the CE/Commercial, PSPCL, Patiala Agenda No. 6 dated November 13, 2025 and while considering the term 'inter alia' (among other things) and which affects the general Public at large in the above definition, decided as under: -
"The EV charging station connection (exclusively far Electric Bus Charging Depot) be considered under Essential Services category under Regulation 2(35) of Supply Code-2024."
